“Hmmm,” I said fingering my ear. “Okay, what evidence do you have that he killed Turner Clark?”
“Carson, I’ll skip the obvious, which you know: motive, presence, ability, etc. and just tell you that he was seen in the guesthouse shortly before the time Turner Clark was murdered.”
“We know that,: I interrupted, “and Gordon has probably admitted to you that he was there. Correct?”
“Yes, and the butler, Charles, also puts him at the house about the time of death; however, Charles’ times don’t match what Gordon told us. But more importantly, we know that Gordon owns a .44 Magnum pistol which, seems to have disappeared.”
