Will France and the group survive the trip down the Amazon?

Before retiring France Hunter decides to go to the place where she found her first new
species of owl: The Amazon. Her group follows a well know angler, John Sinclair, and his team, along with a reporter who wants to do a story on Hunter.

Once arriving at the site, Sinclair leaves to go further up the river. He has a show to record and is hoping to catch an even larger fish this time.

Hunter, and the group with her run into a gruesome nightmare with the satellite phone
destroyed and one man fighting for life. Sinclair is not due to pick them up for another week.

THE OWL OF THE SIPAN LORD IS A MUST READ FOR ANY FAN OF PARANORMAL MYSTERIES

This is a story about a widow who, with the help of an owl and blue-eyed spirit, solves her husband’s murder, and a 1300-year-old mystery in Peru.
REVIEW
A thinking man’s Indiana Jones By M Sockel
This review is from: The Owl of the Sipan Lord (Kindle Edition)
Clare Montgomery is an archaeologist, dreaming of her dead husband, Martin.
Confiding in her friend, Carl Windmueller, he reveals that he expected her dreams and encourages her to return to the scene of her husband’s accident.
Joined by their friend Cord, they are plagued by supernatural happenings as they delve deeper into the mystery of Martin’s death and search for the shadowy figure that haunts her dreams.
Called on by an enigmatic owl, the story unfolds as death and the shadows stalk the intrepid band race to uncover the truth as a burgeoning romance develops between Carl and Clare.
This adventure romance is strongly reminiscent of the classics, such as Romancing The Stone and Raiders of The Lost Ark. There is pace, drama and intrigue as the reader is sucked in from the first page on a breathtaking journey that will leave you gasping for more.
However, what lifts this tale above so many in its genre is the subtext. The author has expertly used the vehicle of archaeology as a metaphor for the depths and secrets of our lives. As Carl and Clare peel back the layers and reveal more artifacts, so they reveal more and more about themselves.
This fantastic plot device allows us to gradually understand the detailed characters, and through them the intricately woven plot.
Fans of Suzanne Collins, Cassandra Clare, and Shannon Hale will love this.

Martin and Clare Montgomery worked together as an archaeological team until Martin mysteriously died. Fearing the rumors of a curse Clare vowed to never return that was until a blue-eyed spirit, and a small owl began to haunt her dreams.
Was this a sign from her beloved Martin or something more sinister?

“Her family planned camping trips here in the past, and she just loved it. Now that she graduated from the University …”  By Martha A. Cheves
This review is from The Angler and the Owl (Kindle Edition)
France Hunter was excited about her first trip to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Her family planned camping trips here in the past, and she just loved it. Now that she graduated from the University of Michigan, with a degree in ornithology, she was more than ready to study her favorite bird: owls. That is until the black bear decided to show up making her trip short in the wilderness and a bit longer in the hospital.
27 years later she finds herself in the Amazon where she is in search of her first new species of owl – the blue-ringed owl. What she didn’t expect were the feelings she soon started to feel after meeting John Sinclair who was the host of the television show ‘Sinclair’s Adventures.’ Rounding out the group was Cathy Birch who was gathering information for her latest magazine article.
Author Viv Drewa brings the search for the blue-ringed owl, the dangers of the Amazon and two people who have just met and their feelings for each other. This was a page turner which I actually finished in 2 nights. Very enjoyable.

An excerpt from “From the Pages of Grandfather’s Life” by Viv Drewa

Grandfather.jpg

If anything dropped they were not to stop and pick it up; just keep on going. They all had to move very quickly, they could not wait for anyone to catch up and if anyone did not reach the destination they would be left behind. They were all ordered into a wagon and then covered with hay. About 20 km from the border they had to get off and walk through the fields while the wagon proceeded past the border where it was inspected and the driver questioned at length.
