“ADVICE FOR SALE”
(Morality)
BY Deno Sandz
One day there was a merchant that sold advice to everyone who would pay, setting up on the dirty docks, with mix-match shoes wearing a thin coat and a wool hat that smelled of perfume. He posted signs that read, “Advice for Sale.” People stood in-line for a piece of advice dropping coins and coins in a can trying to change their life. His last customer with two different shoes needed some serious advice. He wanted to know how to hurt a man who had been with his wife. So the merchant advised him on what to do with a knife. After the advice he dropped a coin with a grin, leaving without haste. The next day the merchant never showed up to sell his advice. He had sunk deep into the sea; in his neck was a knife. Wishing he had never given that particular man advice.
