THE OWL LADY PRESENTS GUEST AUTHOR: NEAL DAVIES

P1040541     HOW I GOT STARTED WRITING
I first started writing when I was a child and would invent make believe characters, similar to those in comic books.
When I became a counsellor, I started writing self-help books on communication to help many of my clients get a better grasp of how to communicate more effectively with people at work, friends and family.
These books became increasingly popular after a Psychologist lecturer, took and sold one particular book with him on his tours around Australia; it was called The Galaxy Guide to Adolescents and the Alien Within.
The book encouraged ways for parents to communicate effectively with their teenage children and their Teenagers to also learn new methods in communication with their parents.

HOW I CHOSE MY GENRE
I’m not really sure I chose my genre; I honestly believe it chose me. As a young boy I would escape from my troubled childhood by reading the great Arthur Conan Doyle’s, Sherlock Holmes.
From that very young age I had always believed I would one day find my super sleuth and write my very own murder mysteries. Sebastian Cork is that super sleuth and now that I have found him I can’t stop the stories coming. Seb’s sequel is already to go and should be out early to mid year and I have a third underway.

A SHORT BIO

I was born Neal Samuel Davies in a small country town in New South Wales, Australia. My parents moved to Melbourne Victoria when I was 4 years old.
I left school at 14 to work at a brickyard with my father and brother and at 40 years of age, I returned to school to fulfil my dream of becoming a counsellor. After writing self-help books, I achieved my second dream of becoming a published author when I wrote with my first novel called Benworden. My third dream was finally accomplished last year with the release of Sebastian Cork Forget Me Not.
